How much does it cost?

The cost of a BOTOX® treatment is calculated by the number of units used.

The number of units used depends on several factors:

  1. The skill of the injector.

Using the optimal dose of BOTOX® will ensure a beautiful, natural-looking result that lasts longer.

2.  The size of the muscle being treated.

Larger muscles require more units.

3.  How much relaxation of the muscle is desired.

In some areas, it is desirable to have less muscle-activity (for example, in the frown lines). In other areas, you want the muscle to be more active, for more natural facial expressions.

To give you a general idea of the cost, the price to treat frown lines is usually between $350-$500;  forehead lines $150-$200; crow's feet $240-$300.

This price includes a follow-up appointment 2 weeks after your first treatment to ensure you receive the best results possible and have no further questions or concerns.

Will my face look worse when the BOTOX® wears off?

No. Your face will not look worse if and when you stop using BOTOX® Cosmetic. In general, your face will simply return to its previous appearance. If you use BOTOX® Cosmetic for a number of years before you stop, your muscles will have learned to relax on their own and you will end up looking a little better than when you began.

Is BOTOX® Cosmetic safe?

BOTOX® has been available for over 20 years, and has been used to treat many medical conditions before it's cosmetic uses were discovered. When used medically, the doses are much higher and much more frequent than those used in cosmetic treatments. Consequently, it's safety profile is well established.

BOTOX® is an approved prescription drug by the FDA and the Health Protection Branch of Health Canada. It is manufactured by Allergan Inc.

However, as with any prescription drug, there are potential side effects you should be aware of.
